To make the show possible, Kingfisher Bay Resort engaged international light artist, Bruce Ramus, whose projects transcend the traditional boundaries of light art. By incorporating the natural environment into his designs, he offers a groundbreaking art that invites deep public engagement.
Illumina was created with sustainability at its core, maintaining Kingfisher Bay Resort’s commitment to protecting the environment. The amphitheatre incorporates rot-resistant timber and hand-mixed concrete to reduce its environmental footprint, while the lighting design achieves maximum effect with minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
